Book Friends Association

About us

Founder’s Message

Yasmine ECHEHAB

President

I am Yasmine Echehab, known on social media as "Read with Yassu." I hold a master’s degree in Project Engineering and Business Management (IPMA) from ENCG. Above all, I am a passionate reader and book lover, a passion ignited by my mother, a devoted reader herself, from a very young age.

The creation of the "Book Friends Association" is not just an initiative; it is a life mission and a deeply personal cause. We founded this association with the goal of promoting reading and creating welcoming spaces where young Moroccans can immerse themselves in the wonderful world of books. My dream is to establish the largest library in Africa, making knowledge and culture accessible to everyone.

Driven by love, ambition, and respect for this cause, I believe that together we can inspire and nurture a new generation of avid readers and writers. We unite book enthusiasts to share ideas and build a vibrant community with enriching connections. We promote continuous learning and discovery through education and reading. Our commitment is to make reading accessible to everyone by creating spaces and opportunities to discover and share books, thereby contributing to a brighter future for our country.

Thank you for your support and for joining us on this journey.

Mohammed EL GHANNIOUI

From a young age, Mohammed has believed that developing young people's skills is the key to societal progress. He is committed to achieving this through awareness, training, and the creation of inspiring communities that foster a contagious atmosphere of growth.

In Mohammed's view, reading is an essential means to expand knowledge and improve critical thinking. The variety of subjects explored by different works and the perspectives offered by various authors provide a rich source of inspiration and motivation for young people. Mohammed is convinced that the Book Friends Association can make a significant difference in promoting reading, thanks to its passionate members who believe in the power of reading and its impact on Moroccan, African, and global society.
